Connie and I met Apostle Bob and Anita at a Full Gospel Business Men's breakfast in 1989, where I heard that they were conducting a meeting on Wednesday night. When I went I was glad to see how much the Holy Spirit was moving. I started attending on Sunday later on. I told Connie about the church and so we both started to attend. It was a time when there was a lot of turmoil in our lives. It seemed to be a very dark time in our lives, but as we attended Church Alive, we could feel a powerful presence of the Lord. Since we have been members of Church Alive, the Lord has come against every weapon that has been forged against us. While at Church Alive we have come into a deeper relationship with our Lord than we ever dreamed could be. Out of that ralationship we have desired to help others grow in their faith. We conduct Christian LIFE Training for descipleship in our home in a small group setting. I also serve as treasurer for the corporation of Church Alive.
We met and grew up in Church Alive! We have served in various ministry areas since our early teens. We were honored to be invited as part of the leadership team at age 18, and as members of the Elder board at age 21. In our mid teens, we knew God had called us to be together. In 2001, at the age of 18 we were married. In 2003, God gave us our first child, our son Elisha. Our daughters, Rebekah and Nadia, followed. We currently Co-Pastor Youth Alive and the Men's & Women's Ministries. David leads the Prophetic Team ministry and serves on the worship team playing guitar or drums. Jacqui serves in administration and bookkeeping and leads the Helps and the Hospitality ministries. Youth Alive is in relationship with YouthStorm and hosts a local chapter networking churches for Kingdom purposes.
After receiving seven prophesies that he'd meet his wife in Florida, Jake and I met 11 years ago in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. He was attending Christian International School of Theology and I was there for a worship conference. We have always thought it was funny that God brought him to Florida to meet a Canadian girl! Atop the ferris wheel at Canobie Lake Park, Jake asked me to marry him and life has been an incredible adventure ever since. We have been married for almost 10 years now, have two amazing children, and are so blessed to be on the pastoral team at Church Alive. Jake's areas of ministry are counseling and preaching while I am the worship leader with a passion for teaching. Both of us are so excited for what God is doing to establish an open heaven and we are crying out with everything we've got for Him to change our mindsets so we can flow out of that open heaven to reach the world around us!
We grew up in neighboring towns, graduated from local high schools in the same year, met on a blind date and got saved two years later. We fell in love with God from the moment we met Him during the Charismatic movement and great joy flooded our lives. It's been fun filled, packed adventure ever since. We knew that He called us into full-time ministry at the beginning of our Christian walk. Our two sons have grown up knowing and serving God. It has been a wonderful life of following Him.
In 1989, we founded Church Alive after we both graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center (`84, `85). Having earned our Bacheler of Theology degrees from Christian International School of Theology(`96,`95) and we both were ordained by Christian International Ministries Network in 1991. We are affiliated with the Christian International Apostolic Network (CIAN) and serve as the Northeast Regional Directors. It is our privilege to travel throughout the region and the world to further the vision of CIMN and develop relationships with those of like, precious faith.
In 2009, Wings of Fire Ministries became a reality. The personal extension of our ministry to those who desire relationship providing acceptance, support and accountability in mutuality.
